I’ve created this page because I want to make a difference.
I am a long term supporter of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation because I’ve witnessed the devastating effects of ovarian cancer and I’m inspired by the work the OCRF does to fund vital research into an early detection test for ovarian cancer and improve women’s health for the future.
In 2010 I watched my Mum’s best friend, my Aunty Sue, die of ovarian cancer. The speed was astonishing. It was just two months from diagnosis to her death, a speed that seemed inconceivable to me at the time but that I now know is all too common. With no early detection test and vague symptoms that are easy to ignore, ovarian cancer is almost always found too late for effective treatment.
The OCRF are seeking to change this. You don't have to be a scientist, we can all help fund the research that will find the answers we are seeking.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you to anyone who is able to donate, every dollar helps.
